Yesterday I promised I would share something that I believe every business owner should know. It is my 5 Principles for business. In this email, I’ll be kicking off with “Lead Yourself First.” But before I do that, I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself.
In case we haven’t met, I’m Bradley.
I help busy entrepreneurs develop an OS that allows their businesses to grow and scale while creating a life that they enjoy.
In over 10 years of starting, growing, and scaling companies, I’ve seen it all. In the process, I’ve developed 5 core principles that I now use to equip other business owners to do the same.
I LOVE to give business owners the tools they need to create their own OS for scale. And today, I’m giving you my first principle…
If you’re not scaling your sales, profit, and/or value fast enough this year…
It’s about time you decided to Lead Yourself First.
What is the most important thing you can do for yourself? As business owners, I believe that it is to protect your confidence.
The faster and further you want to go, the more difficult business is. In fact, business gets harder the more that it grows. This is due to the fact that you will face new difficulties and problems every time you reach a new KPI, add a new team member, or onboard new clients.
When you don’t protect your confidence, it’s likely that you begin to doubt your abilities, experience, skill sets, and even your team. It not only hinders your ability to lead, it impedes your growth and handicaps your team.
Don’t worry! I have help.
There is one simple thing I coach all my clients to do in BlueprintOS.
Every day, note a few good things that happened. Count your wins. Then, when you reflect back on your week, don’t just look for the gaps, look for the wins. This will shift you from scanning solely for challenges and forgetting when you reach your goals. You will constantly feel behind if you don’t look for the progress.
I have to be honest with you. No matter what level of revenue or growth you reach, you will always find new challenges. Whether you’re hitting your first 7 figures, 8 figures, or more, there will never be an arrival point where things become easy.
However, you can make things easier on yourself when you choose to Lead Yourself First. This week, take a few moments each day to scan for the wins and progress. It will protect your confidence as the owner and enable you to lead your team more effectively.
