If you’re like most entrepreneurs, you work really hard. You probably have days where you look back and think, “What did I even work on?” But it’s not just about how hard you work. Keep reading (or watch the video training above) to find out what owners should really focus on. Spoiler alert: It’s not just hard work.

THE EXAMPLE OF WORK ETHIC

Bradley grew up with a hardworking father who farmed over 10,000 acres at one time while teaching the FFA (agriculture) class at the local high school.  He would usually take the kids to school and teach there for a full day, and then go to the seed plan he co-owned until about 9 PM.  This example of hard work was instilled in Bradley’s life.

WORK…HARD WORK.

He then went to Auburn, whose creed was “I believe in work, and hard work.” This example led to Bradley constantly feeling the need to overwork and even having a major season of burnout and health issues. But that’s a story for another time.

While Bradley values hard work, he has found that what you work on is more important than hard work. In fact, as an owner, working on the business is more important than working in the business. This is what will enable you to take your business (and yourself) to the next level.
